Former CIA director James Woolsey served under Bill Clinton and other presidents but he’s backing Donald Trump and has even joined his campaign.
He appeared on FOX and Friends and offered commentary on the White House’s claim that we’re engaged in a “war of narratives” with ISIS. He called it ridiculous.
The FOX News Insider reports:
Ex-CIA Director: No Room for Political Correctness in Fight Against Radical Islam
Former CIA Director James Woolsey says that political correctness hurts our ability to prevent attacks like what happened in New York and New Jersey over the weekend.
“As long as we have to talk about things in a politically correct way and we can’t say that it’s Islamic terror … we are causing ourselves a massive amount of trouble,” Woolsey said. “There’s virtually nothing that’s worse than political correctness if you’re trying to understand what’s going on in something like a movement like radical Islam.”
Woolsey, a Donald Trump supporter, slammed the Obama administration for failing to label the enemy as “radical Islamic terror” and for trying to change the facts to fit their narrative.
“This is ridiculous. It’s not just a PR matter. It’s not a matter of ratings. It’s a matter of life and death.”

Woolsey is absolutely right.
The Obama administration wishes they could fight this war with Twitter hastags but that’s not how it works in the real world.
