Jennifer-Ruth Green is a military veteran running for Congress in Indiana as a Republican.
Even though Green is black, the memebers of the liberal Congressional Black Caucus have endorsed Green’s opponent, a white male Democrat.
This just goes to show that the CBC is a sham. It’s not about being a black member of Congress as it is about being a Democrat.
The Daily Caller reports:
EXCLUSIVE: Congressional Black Caucus Backs White Democrat Over Black Republican
The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is throwing their support behind a white Democrat, despite the fact that he is being challenged by a black Republican, the Daily Caller has learned.
Jennifer-Ruth Green, a black Republican, is challenging Frank Mrvan, a white Democrat, in Indiana’s First Congressional District. The race is considered a “toss-up” by nonpartisan election analysts. According to recent campaign finance filings reviewed by the Caller, the Congressional Black Caucus on Sept. 28 donated $5,000 to Mrvan, despite the fact that he is white and Green is black.
Green outraised Mrvan in Q3. She raised around $1.4 million, while he raised less than $940,000.
In 2021, the Congressional Black Caucus allegedly blocked black Republican Florida Rep. Byron Donalds from joining the group.
At the time, Donalds’ spokesman Harrison Fields said, “The sad reality is although the Congressman and those in the CBC share the same race, the (R) behind his name disqualifies him from membership today.”
Just unreal:

If Green wins, she can laugh at the CBC for failing to back her.
